This page is a dedicated resource for Union members who have been underpaid by Yarra Trams following the introduction of the 36 hour week. You can find information here about what we are doing and submit your underpayments so that we can assist you.
Your unions have notified Yarra Trams of the repeated and unacceptable underpayments which have been occurring since around July of 2020.
We are demanding that Yarra Trams commit to engaging a third party auditor who will be responsible for conducting a review to ensure that Yarra Trams has rectified all underpayments to date.

Your Rights
It goes without saying that everyone should be entitled to a fair day’s wage for a fair day’s work. These rights are underpinned by the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) but your unions have also ensured you have additional rights in your Enterprise Agreements.
If you have been underpaid through no fault of your own, Yarra Trams must rectify the underpayment within 36 hours of having been notified of the underpayment.
The relevant clauses in your Enterprise Agreements are:
- clause 29 of the Yarra Trams Enterprise Agreement 2019 – Infrastructure
- clause 27 of the Yarra Trams Enterprise Agreement 2019 – Rolling Stock, Administration, Technical & Professional
