Welcome to the web site of the Victorian Branch of the RTBU.

The Victorian Branch of the RTBU is one of the leading unions in the state.

Our union has a proud and militant past and has a long history of involvement in industrial and political issues in Victoria.

The RTBU is the Industry Union in the rail passenger (Metro, Country and Interstate) rail freight (intra and interstate) and Tramways sectors.

Our union is comprised of six divisions:

• Rail Operations
• Infrastructure
• Fleet Manufacture, Overhaul, Maintenance and Service (Workshops)
• Administration, Supervisory, Technical & Professional
• Locomotive
• Tram & Bus

As an all grades union we have coverage over all employees in the industry across a wide range of trades and occupations.

As a part of the national RTBU which has members in all states and territories the Victorian Branch will continue to get bigger and stronger as the rail and tram sectors expand to meet the needs of Victorians.
